Recently, RTD structures implementing Multi-Threshold Threshold Gates (MTTGs) have been proposed which further increase the functionality of the original TGs while maintaining their operating principle and allowing also the implementation of nanopipelining at the gate level. This paper describes the design of n-bit adders using these MTTGs. A comparison with a design based on TGs is carried out showing advantages in terms of latency, device counts and power consumption.

New full adders using multi-layer perceptron network
How to reconfigure a logic gate for a variety of functions is an interesting topic. In this paper, a different method of designing logic gates are proposed. Initially, due to the training ability of the multilayer perceptron neural network, it was used to create a new type of logic and full adder gates. In this method, the perceptron network was trained and then tested. This network was 100% ac...
متن کاملParametric fault model for RTD based Threshold Logic Gates
One of major implementations of Linear Threshold Gate (LTG) is via resonant tunneling diodes (RTD). The functionality of this threshold logic gate greatly depends on the parameters of the RTD and parametric faults impact its functionality. A suitable fault model for Combinational Threshold Logic gates is presented. A methodology is also developed to generate test patterns that detect these para...
متن کاملNew RTD-Based General Threshold Gate Topologies and Application to Three-Input XOR Logic Gates
This paper presents two new general threshold gate (GTG) structures which are based on the monostable-bistable element (MOBILE) as their main part. These new GTGs eliminate an RTD from the structure compared to old structures and lead to less elements count and better performance in terms of power consumption, maximum frequency, and power-delay product (PDP). In the paper also two new single ga...

متن کاملA Practical Floating-gate Muller-c Element Using Νmos Threshold Gates
This paper presents the rationale for νMOS-based realizations of digital circuits when logic design techniques based on threshold logic gates (TGs) are used. Some practical problems in the νMOS implementation of threshold gates have been identified and solved. The feasibility and versatility of the proposed technique as well as its potential as a low-cost design technique for CMOS technologies ...
